2015-11-08 : ESA/NASA Important Video. The truth is finally being disclosed. Life is indeed a cosmic phenomenon. Thank you ESA for pushing NASA to admit what they have known for a very long time.

Fred and Chandra : We appreciate your vision and courage? Your treatment has been almost as disgraceful as that suffered by  Galileo. Fred even lost a Nobel Prize due to the establishment’s dislike of his Panspermia hypothesis. But at least one of you is still alive to celebrate human enlightenment.

The Night Sky including our own Milky Way Galaxy stays pretty much fixed – hour upon hour, day upon day.  But it is we, on the earth, who rotate once per day. This video helps us understand this better. It’s very confusing for we simple humans. Not so long ago we thought we lived on a still flat world where everything else above us seemed to “move”   🙂   Now we know. It is the opposite that is true.

But the planets, they wander right? Is that not where the word planet comes from? Tell me more about planets.

A good review of the planets. The early part of the video explains why planets were “the wanderers”.

Carl Sagan and the Drake Equation

much has changed since Carl made this video. Since 2013 we now know almost every star has planets.

Search for Alien Life

2013 : NASA begins the “difficult endeavour of seeking the signs of life”.  After 50 years of searching for water, NASA has concluded that water is pretty much everywhere! Why is this difficult? Because scientists are struggling to define exactly what IS life. For example in 2014 viruses are NOT alive according to the accepted definition.

Eric Idle Galaxy Song

Galaxy Song Lyrics
“Galaxy Song” was written by Jones Trevor Andrew; Idle Eric.

Just remember that you’re standing on a planet that’s evolving
Revolving at 900 miles an hour
It’s orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it’s reckoned
A sun that is the source of all our power

The Sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral orb, at 40,000 miles an hour
Of the galaxy, we call the Milky Way

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars
It’s a 100,000 light years side to side
It bulges in the middle, 16,000 light years thick
But out by us it’s just 3,000 light years wide

We’re 30,000 light years from galactic central point
We go round every 200,000,000 years
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe

Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whiz
As fast as it can go, the speed of light you know
12,000,000 miles a minute, and that’s the fastest speed there is

So, remember when you’re feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space
‘Cause I’m afraid that we’ve been cheated here on Earth
